Lannebo Fonder recruits two award winning fund managers from SEB and will start a new fund, Lannebo European Small Cap

Lannebo Fonder has recruited Carsten Dehn and Ulrik Ellesgaard, who most recently worked at SEB Investment Management in Denmark. Since 2006 they have very successfully managed SEB's European small cap funds and institutional mandates. On several occasions the funds have been awarded for the results delivered by Carsten and Ulrik, and the funds also have five star ratings in Morningstar over 3, 5 and 10 year time periods.

Lannebo Fonder intends to start a branch office in Copenhagen in connection with the recruitments, where the new fund managers will be located.

“The recruitments are a natural development of Lannebo Fonder’s product offering. During the last 15 years we have established ourselves as a successful small cap manager of Nordic, and especially Swedish, equities. It feels really exciting to now expand our offering with a European product that also creates new opportunities for us to reach a more international clientele. With the recruitment of Carsten and Ulrik we have succeeded in appointing two managers who have extensive experience and whose management results belong to the highest among the elite managers of European small caps. They are also two managers who have an investment philosophy that fully harmonizes with Lannebo Fonder’s based on true active management. These new appointments create synergies in our fund management that results in a sound basis for us to continue to succeed in creating good returns for customers”, says Göran Espelund, Chairman of Lannebo Fonder in a comment.
